बच्चों को बैठने के लिए जगह नहीं है इसलिए तैयारी करते हुए हमारे शिक्षा-साथी। बच्चे पढ़ते रहे इसलिए हमारे शिक्षा-साथियों की ‘कुछ भी करेंगे’ मानसिकता पर हमें गर्व है।

01 Aug 2021 – Teaching kids here isn’t the just the challenge of ‘preparing lessons’. Our fellows getting in action when we realized that there is no good place for the children to sit. We are proud of the ‘whatever it takes’ mindset of our fellows to make sure that children continue learning.

“सर आप जब सोमवार को आओगे तब आप को एक सरप्राइज मिलने वाला है।” दूसरे दिन फोन पर यह फोटो आए, बच्चे अपने स्कुल की जगह साफ करते हुए।

08 August 2021 – The children of Sonkhamb said to their teachers Kunal and Vrushabh, “Sir, you are going to get a surprise when you come back on Monday.” The next day we received this photo on the phone, children cleaning their school premises.

९ अगस्त २०२१ – दुनिया में जहां पर भी कोई बच्चा जब पढ़ता है, उसकी शुरुवात ईंटो से बने स्कुल से नहीं होती है। [read_more id=”1″ more=”Read more” less=”Read less”]

पहले एक माता-पिता के मन में स्कुल बनता है, और वहां से बच्चे का ईंटो से बनी स्कुल तक सफर होता है। यही कारण है की २-४ किलोमीटर दुरी पर स्कुल होने के बावजूद, नागपुर शहर के आसपास स्थाईक होने के ४० साल बाद भी कई भरवाड़ बच्चे स्कुल तक नहीं पहुंचे है। इसी लिए शुरुवात से हमारा आग्रह रहा है की हम जहां पर भी Learning Centre बना रहे हैं वहां पर कहीं बाहर से पैसे नहीं डालेंगे, बल्कि वहीं के समुदाय को यह काम के लिए तैयार करेंगे। इससे शायद ईंटो की ईमारत की जगह लकड़ी का झोपड़ा बने; शायद बनने के लिए महीनों की जगह साल लग जायेंगे, लेकिन जब भी और जो भी बनेगा, और किसी भी इमारत से ज्यादा मजबूत होगा। कुही फाटा के समुदाय ने इस दिशा में पहला कदम उठाया है, और हमारी उम्मीद है की यह कहानी अंत तक पहुंचे।

09 August 2021 – Whenever a child starts learning, the story doesn’t start with the school that is standing on the ground. A school is first born inside a families heart, and then the child makes it’s journey from there to the school made of bricks and mortar. This is the reason, why, after 40 years of settling around Nagpur city, very few Bharwad children have reached the schools which are not far away than 2-4 kilometers. Hence, we have insisted from the beginning that we will encourage the community to help us build shelters for our Learning centers instead of putting in resources from outside. This may mean that we will have a hut made of tarpaulin instead of the brick and mortar walls. This may mean that it would take years to have a place instead of getting it ready in days. But whenever it it erected, it will be stronger than any building in the world. The community from Kuhi fata have taken the first step in this direction. We hope that this story will have a happy end.

हम भरवाड़ समुदाय के साथ एक संस्था नहीं बल्कि एक पारिस्थितिकी (ecosystem) के रूप काम कर पा रहे हैं। हम कई संस्थाएं मिलकर इस काम में अपनी-अपनी भूमिका ढूंढ़कर साथ में काम कर पा रहे हैं। हमारे मार्गदर्शक और साथी श्री. प्रसेनजित गायकवाड़ सर ने प्रत्यक्ष Learning Centers पर जाकर भाषा और गणित विषय कैसे पढ़ाये जाए इसके प्रात्यक्षिक हमारे शिक्षा साथियों को दिए। इससे हमारे शिक्षा-साथियों की अध्ययन-अध्यापन पद्धति की गुणवत्ता बढ़ने में हमें मदद होगी।

13 August 2021 – We are very happy and grateful that we are able to work with the Bharwad community not as an organization but as an ecosystem. We are able to work together with many organizations by figuring our respective roles in this initiative. Our guide and companion Mr. Prasenjit Gaikwad sir did Mathematics and Language demo classes for our fellows directly at these hamlets. This will help us in increasing the quality of the learning-teaching practices of our fellows.

१८ अगस्त २०२१ – हमारे मेंटर अतुल भैया और प्राजक्ता दीदी

नई जगहों पर Learning Centers की शुरुवात होने के बाद पहली बार असोला के Learning Center पर आए। हमने कुछ बड़ों से पूछा, “क्या बच्चों की पढ़ाई सही से हो रही है?” एक काकाजी ने बहुत दिलचस्प जवाब दिया, “सर, स्कुल कैसे चल रहा है ये तो स्कुल में जाते वक्त बच्चों की चाल को देखकर समझता है। बच्चे खुश हैं, पढ़ाई तो जरूर अच्छी हो रही होगी!” हमने बच्चों और हमारे शिक्षा साथियों से भी पढ़ाई के बारे में बात की, उन्हें कुछ दिक्कत, जरूरतें है क्या यह समझा। घर की बड़ी लड़कियों ने कहा, “सर हमें भी पढ़ना है।” इसे लेकर हमने समुदाय के बड़े लोग और हमारे शिक्षा-साथियों से बातचीत करके तुरंत तैयारी शुरू की। अतुल भैया और प्राजक्ता दीदी का Learning Center में आना शिक्षा साथियों का उत्साह और ऊर्जा बढ़ाने वाला प्रसंग रहा।

18 August 2021 – Our mentors Atul Bhaiya and Prajakta Didi visited Asola’s Learning Center for the first time since the opening of the Learning Centers at new locations. We asked some elders, “Are the children learning properly?” An uncle gave a very interesting reply, “Sir, you can judge the school by observing how the child is walking towards the school. Our children are happy. The studies must be going well!” We also talked with the children and our fellows about studies, and if they have any challenges or need any help. Some elder girls in a house shared, “Sir, we also want to study.” Regarding this, we started preparing immediately, after talking to the elders of the community and our fellows. Atul Bhaiya and Prajakta Didi’s visit to the Learning Center was an event that boosted the enthusiasm and energy of our fellows.

१९ अगस्त २०२१ – पिपला (भदी) – ये आँखें शिक्षा के उद्देश्य को अधोरेखित करती हैं। हमारे काम का दीपस्तंभ यही है की ये आँखें चमकती रहे और इनकी चमक बढ़ती रहे।

२५ अगस्त २०२१ – बिजली के आने से

हम एक जगह पर पशु खाद्य बना पाएंगे, दूध के लिए शीतगृह बना पाएंगे, पानी जगह पर मिलेगा, बच्चे पढ़ पाएंगे और हमारे जीवन को स्थिरता मिलेगी। बातचीत हो गई और नवंबर २०१९ से हम सभी काम में लग गए। समुदाय के आठों परिवार, विशेषतः रामजी, राहुल जोगराना, श्री. प्रमोद कालबांडे सर, श्री. विकास महात्मे सर, सजल कुलकर्णी और हमारे फेलो कुणाल, वृषभ, विशाल और कोमल के लगातार प्रयास के दो साल बाद आखिर सोनखांब में बिजली पहुंची है। ये हमारे समुदाय के लिए एक नई शुरुवात होगी!

25 August 2021 – If we get an electricity connection we will be able to make cattle feed at our own place, have a cold storage for milk, water will be easily accessible, children will be able to study and our life can become more stable. We discussed this thought and we started working on it from November 2019. After two years of continuous efforts by the eight families from the community, especially Ramji, Rahul Jograna, Shri. Pramod Kalbande Sir, Mr. Vikas Mahatme Sir, Sajal Kulkarni and our fellows Kunal, Vrishabha, Vishal and Komal, electricity has finally reached Sonkhamb. This will be a new beginning for our community!

25 August 2021 – Nagpur District Education Officer Mr. Chintaman Vanjari visited Kaldongri hamlet to understand the challenges regarding Bharwad children’s enrollment in the schools.

२६ अगस्त २०२१ – भरवाड़ बच्चों के स्कूल में दाखिले को लेकर स्कूली शिक्षा राज्यमंत्री माननीय बच्चू कडू जी के साथ बैठक हुई!

मंत्री जी ने दो महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय लिए। एक,अगले ८ दिनों में सभी बच्चों का स्कूल में दाखिला सुनिश्चित करने के लिए जिला शिक्षा विभाग तत्काल कदम उठाए। दो, बालरक्षक श्री. प्रसेनजीत गायकवाड़ को नागपुर विभाग में शालाबाह्य बच्चों के मुद्दों को लेकर काम के लिए विभागीय समन्वयक अधिकारी के तौर पर नियुक्त किया जाए।

26 August 2021 – A meeting was held regarding the enrollment of Bharwad children in the school with Hon’ble Mr. Bachchu Kadu, Minister of State for School Education. Mr. Kadu took two important decisions. One, the District Education Department should take immediate steps to ensure that all Bharwad children are enrolled in the nearby schools within next 8 days. Two, Mr. Prasenjit Gaikwad would be appointed as the Divisional Coordinating Officer for the work on the issues of out-of-school children in Nagpur Division.
