लर्निंग कंपेनियन्समध्ये आम्ही असे Education leaders तयार करण्यासाठी काम करत आहोत जे उपेक्षित समुदायातील मुलांसाठी प्रभावी आणि सर्वसमावेशक शिक्षणाच्या जागा निर्माण करण्यासाठी काम करतील. ‘लर्निंग कम्पॅनियन्स फेलोशिप’ द्वारे सुमारे 150 Education leaders तयार करून आणि शाळा, स्वयंसेवी संस्था, सरकारी किंवा खाजगी अशा विविध स्तरांवर आणखी 150 Education leaders ना प्रशिक्षण, मदत करून पुढील 10 वर्षांत विदर्भातील (महाराष्ट्र) शैक्षणिक दृश्य बदलणे हे आमचे ध्येय आहे. या चळवळीद्वारे, आम्ही सुमारे 20,000 मुलांपर्यंत पोहोचण्याचे आणि स्वतःच्या आवडी, मूल्यांबद्दल जागरूक असलेल्या आणि त्यांच्या आवडीचा पाठपुरावा करण्यास आवश्यक कौशल्ये असलेली पिढी विकसित करण्याचे आमचे ध्येय आहे.

- शिकण्याची तयारी (Preparedness to Learn; PTL) – मुले अस्खलितपणे वाचायला शिकतात, गंभीर विचार, समस्या सोडवणे आणि इतर सामाजिक-भावनिक कौशल्ये विकसित करतात जी मुख्य शिक्षण आणि जीवन कौशल्ये आहेत. उदाहरणार्थ, जर मी अस्खलितपणे वाचू शकलो, आणि इतरांशी नातेसंबंध कसे व्यवस्थापित करावे हे मला माहीत असेल, तरच मी महाविद्यालयात यशस्वीपणे टिकून राहू शकेन आणि डॉक्टर किंवा संगीतकार होण्यासाठी पुस्तकांचा अभ्यास करू शकेन.

- आवड (Adventure) – मुले त्यांना कशाचा आनंद घेतात आणि ते त्याभोवती जीवन कसे तयार करू शकतात हे ओळखतात. उदाहरणार्थ, मुलांना वेगवेगळ्या खेळांची, कला, व्यवसायांची ओळख करून दिली जाते, या सर्व गोष्टी करताना मुलांना सर्वात जास्त काय आवडते ते शोधा.
आमचा विश्वास आहे की जर कोणत्याही मुलाने वरील 3 गोष्टी चांगल्या प्रकारे शिकल्या तर ते त्यांचे जीवन त्यांना हवे तिथे यशस्वीपणे घडवू शकेल.

थोडक्यात, सेंटर/प्रोजेक्ट लीड हा सिनियर टीम आणि ग्राउंड टीम यांच्यातील दुवा असेल. सेंटर/प्रोजेक्ट लीड च्या मुख्य जबाबदाऱ्या म्हणजे फेलो आणि स्टुडन्ट लीडर ना प्रकल्प, नियमित कामे प्रभावीपणे करण्यात मदत करणे आणि दुसरीकडे सिनियर टीम ला कामे कशी चालू आहेत याचे मूल्यांकन, फीडबॅक आणि पुढील धोरणांसाठी आवश्यक माहिती पुरवणे.

A. Centre Lead म्हणून जबाबदाऱ्या
- Setting and Creating Community Demographics & Vision:
समूहाबद्दल माहिती आणि सामूहिक ध्येये
– समूहातील एकूण व्यक्ती, लिंग, शिक्षण आणि इतर महत्वाची माहिती – संकलन आणि गूगल document मध्ये नोंदी
– समूहातील मोठे व्यक्ती, मुले-मुली, शाळा, शिक्षक यांचा भविष्य, शिक्षण याबद्दल दृष्टिकोन आणि स्वप्न याविषयीचे सर्वेक्षण आणि नोंदी
– समूहातील स्वप्ने, समज आणि पार्श्वभूमी याच्या आधारावर समुहासाठीची सामूहिक vision बनवणे आणि त्याचा समुहासाठीच्या शालेय आणि शाळाबाह्य कृती-कार्यक्रम नियोजनात उपयोग करणे
- Ensuring Facilitation preparedness & skills of all fellows
सर्व फेलोंची वर्गाची तयारी आणि कौशल्ये
– सर्व फेलोंना प्रकल्प आणि पाठ नियोजनासाठी अभ्यासाची साधने (पुस्तके, लेख, वेबसाईट), student vision, पाठयक्रम समजणे, ऍक्टिव्हिटी शोधणे/बनवणे यासाठी मदत करणे
– नवीन फेलोंच्या वर्गाचे निरीक्षण करणे आणि अभिप्राय देणे, नेमक्या actions ठरवून वर्गाची गुणवत्ता सुधारण्यासाठी मदत करणे
– सेन्टर वरील फेलो चे चेक इन्स घेणे
– सर्वजण नियमितपणे प्रकल्प आणि पाठ नियोजन करत आहेत याची खात्री करणे
- Community engagement activities monitoring
समूहासोबतच्या ऍक्टिव्हिटी
– पूर्ण टीम च्या नियमित गृहभेटी होत आहेत याची खात्री करणे
– गृहभेटी कशा घ्याव्या, गृहभेटीचा उद्देश याविषयी नवीन फेलो ला मदत करणे
– नियमितपणे आणि गुणवत्तापूर्ण पालकसभा घेणे
– शाळा नियोजन समितीची बैठक नियमितपणे होईल यासाठी पाठपुरावा करणे आणि बैठकीत सहभाग घेणे
– मुलांच्या शिक्षणाच्या बाबतीत पालकांची समज आणि प्रयत्न वाढावे यासाठी उपक्रम घेणे
– जी मुले शाळेत येत नाही त्यांच्या अडचणी समजून ते शाळेत येतील यासाठी उपाय योजना करणे

B. Project Lead म्हणून जबाबदाऱ्या

- फ्लेक्सिबल सोमवार – आमचा हा विश्वास आहे की आपल्याला आयुष्यात वेळ हा सर्वात महत्वाचा resource आहे. आपल्याला आपले काम करत असतानाच generally आपले मित्र, कुटुंब यासाठी आणि specifically तुम्ही ज्या वयात आहात (२५-३०) तिथे नवीन गोष्टी शिकणे, प्रवास आणि explore करणे ही महत्वाची गरज आहे. त्यासाठी महिन्याचा प्रत्येक सोमवार फ्लेक्सिबल असेल. म्हणजेच सोमवारी ऑफिस ला येण्याची गरज नसेल आणि अगदी आवश्यक असेल तेव्हा काही काम आहोत तिथून करून घेऊ शकतो. यामुळे महिन्यातील दोन आठवडे तीन दिवसाचा विकेंड (शनिवार, रविवार, सोमवार) आणि दोन आठवडे दोन दिवसांचा विकेंड (रविवार आणि सोमवार), ज्याचा उपयोग आपण आपल्या exploration ला, मित्रांना, परिवाराला वेळ देण्यासाठी करू शकतो. Remuneration
18,000/Month (12,000 base salary + 3,000 traveling allowance + 3000 rent allowance)

About us
At Learning Companions we are working to create education leaders who work to create effective, engaging and inclusive learning spaces for children from marginalized communities. Our mission is to transform the education landscape of Vidarbha (Maharashtra) in the next 10 years by creating about 150 education leaders through ‘Learning Companions Fellowship’ and supporting and collaborating with another 150 education leaders at different levels in schools, NGOs, government or private spaces. Through this movement, we aim to reach about 20,000 children and develop a generation of learners who are aware of their interests, values and develop a set of skills that will enable them to pursue their passion.
In the process, we will help passionate and talented fresh graduates from Nagpur to develop the set of 21st century skills necessary for solving complex social problems and leading the people and change for creating impact in the education sector. It will enable the youth to find best opportunities for work and create a proud, satisfying career. Being part of learning companions means developing the most relevant skills and opening the doors of opportunities for a brighter future while contributing to a meaningful social cause.
About Role
We want our children to grow on 3 key things:

- Preparedness to Learn (PTL) – children learn to read fluently, develop critical thinking, problem solving, and other socio-emotional skills which are core learning and life skills. For example, only if I can read fluently, and know how to manage relationship with others, I will be able to successfully survive in a college and study books to be a doctor or a musician
- Health – What are the challenges and opportunities around me regarding physical, economical, psycho-social health. For example, our children will learn that they are becoming late to school because of work at home. So they will think together and find solutions, how to complete work more quickly so that they do not miss study.
- Adventure – Children identify what they enjoy and how they can build life around it. For example, children are introduced to different sports, arts, professions, and children, while doing all these things, find what they love the most.
We believe that if any child learns the above 3 things well, they will be able to build their life successfully anywhere they want.
To build these things, our ground teachers and community leaders are working through:
- Classroom activities and lesson plans
- Different projects
- Reflection and sharing spaces.
Throughout the year, we do a lot of projects and activities. The key responsibility of a center lead is to ensure all planned activities are executed with excellence, fellows are supported where they struggle and ensure the children and community development objectives are achieved, for the centers assigned to them (Approximately 2 centers and 3-5 fellows). In the Project lead part, you will be assigned to some verticals as per your interest. For example, creating a database of worksheets, managing social media pages of the organization, making a compilation of books, articles on a particular topic etc. Mainly these projects help us in our main student and teacher development activities. You will be responsible for successfully completing these projects.
Responsibilities
A. Responsibilities as Center Lead
- Setting and Creating Community Demographics & Vision:
Information about the center/community and center/community vision
– Total number of people in the group, gender, education and other important information – collection and records in Google document
– Surveys and records about the future, attitudes and dreams of the adults in the group, boys and girls, schools, teachers and education.
– Creating a collective vision for the group based on the dreams, understanding and background of the group and using it in planning school and out-of-school activities for the group
- Ensuring Facilitation preparedness & skills of all fellows
Classroom preparation and skills of all fellows
– Assisting all fellows in finding/creating study materials (books, articles, websites), student vision, curriculum understanding, activities for lesson planning
– Observing the class of new fellows and giving feedback, helping to improve the quality of the class by determining specific actions
– Checking in on center fellows
– Ensuring that everyone, including yourself, is doing lesson planning regularly
- Community engagement activities monitoring
Activities with a group
– Ensuring regular home visits by the full team
– Assisting new fellows on how to conduct home visits, purpose of home visits
– Conduct regular and quality parent meetings
– Follow up and participate in School Planning Committee meeting regularly
– To take initiatives to increase the understanding and efforts of parents in the matter of children’s education
– To understand the problems of children who do not come to school and plan solutions so that they come to school
- Documentation, Feedback and Assessment activities monitoring
Documentation, tests and feedback information collection
– Ensuring timely completion of all tests and feedback collection in your center as per the scheduled schedule

Taking responsibility for 1-2 of the following projects as per your interest and successfully completing those projects.

- Basic Mathematics Development – Activity resources compilation, fellows support (e.g. Riyazghar maths plan & classes)
- Advanced Language and Cognitive Skills (Cognition)(e.g. Stories compilation for Riyazghar)
- Riyazghar – Introducing and helping children with various adventures – coordination & ideas compilation and planning
- Cultural and educational activities with the community
- Fellow Study Tools – Collection and coordination support
- External organization coordination

Expected Skills and Qualifications:
- 2 years of any Teaching Fellowship experience
- Proactive communication
- Experience in driving operations in high pressure, goal driven environments
- Experience of having collaborated effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups
- Experience and excitement to document learnings and goals

- Flexible Monday – We believe that time is the most important resource we have in life. Generally, in life, spending time with friends, family and specifically at your age (25-20) learning, traveling and exploring new things while doing your work is an important need. For that every Monday of the month will be flexible. That is, there is no need to come to the office on Monday and we can do some work from wherever we are, whenever necessary. This gives us two weeks of three-day weekend (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) and two weeks of two-day weekend (Sunday and Monday) in a month, which we can use to give time to our exploration, friends, family. (This rule will apply from month of September, with some important conditions; you will learn more details during the selection process)
