Meeting Ashish Mahabal once a year is always a delight—thanks to his deep love for numbers, science, and the discipline of systematically doing, measuring, and documenting things. Ashish decided to support Learning Companions’ work back in 2022, and since then, our relationship has grown around a shared love for numbers and an approach to education grounded in cognitive science.
One conversation in 2023, in particular, pushed me (Ganesh Birajdar (He, Him)) to put as much of LC’s data as possible onto an open platform and invite wider dialogue. That conversation sparked an ambition to create an interactive LC data dashboard—one that could lead to meaningful conversations and follow-up studies. While resource constraints meant we couldn’t build it as imagined at the time, a lot of foundational work and some very exciting data collection has happened since. We’re hopeful about bringing those dashboards to life soon.
