It took just one interaction for Bhanu Rajagopalan sir to say, “This is good work—and it should be supported.” After attending our monthly Stories Space for the first time, three years ago, Bhanu sir immediately wrote an appreciation post and made an appeal to his circle: “Such a lively bunch of youngsters. I would invite support for them at all levels to take this work further and empower the nation better.”
And he didn’t stop at an appeal. Bhanu sir began supporting Learning Companions through Orangebeak Technologies , and that support has continued steadily ever since. He supported our very first community-living experiment—where all our fellows stayed together, cooked together, and experienced life as a collective. That experiment has survived, thrived, and today stands as an integral part of our work.
More recently, during a conversation with Bhanu sir, one simple question stayed with us: “Can our people speak English?” That question led us to start a self-learning English program for our fellows and teammates. In just the last 5–6 months, at least half of our team has reached B2-level proficiency.
Watching the Orangebeak team operate with excellence in the advertising world continues to inspire us to push the boundaries of quality and scale in our own work.
Thank you, Bhanu sir. And thank you, Bharati Rajagopalan ma’am and Bhavana Rajagopalan, for playing a very important role in the growth of Learning Companions. Cheers to many more years of learning and growth together.
